SSC 2022 Recruitment Process

The SSC Recruitment Process is different for the different exams. The eligibility criteria vary as per the exams, and therefore the candidates should check the eligibility criteria of the exam they are applying for. It is compulsory to meet the factors of the specified eligibility criteria to be eligible to appear for the exam. However, we have discussed the general SSC Recruitment process of all the exams so that the candidates have a fair idea about the SSC Recruitment Process. Let’s get started with the different stages of the recruitment process for the SSC exam.

  1. In the first step, the eligible candidates need to apply online for the SSC Application form available on the official website. They are required to register themselves and fill the online application form with the required details and the documents, and after that pay the application fee via online mode. Candidates are advised to take the printed copy of the filled application form for future reference.

  2. Then comes the next step, the candidates who have successfully submitted the application form can download the SSC Exam Admit Card as and when it is available on the official website. They should log in to the online portal and enter the credentials they received while registering themselves to access the hall ticket. The admit card for every round of the SSC exam 2022 will be released separately on the official website. Candidates should note that they will not receive the hard copy of the SSC Exam Admit Card through offline modes like post or courier. It is compulsory for every candidate to carry the SSC Exam 2022 Admit Card with the required documents on the exam day.
  3. Once the SSC Exam Dates 2022 are declared on the official website, all the eligible candidates need to appear for the exam with their admit card and other valid documents at the allotted exam center. The candidates must remember that each of the SSC exams is administered in different stages/tiers. For example, the SSC CGL exam is held in four stages which are CBT-I, CBT-II, Descriptive paper (Pen and Paper Mode), and Computer Skill Test/Document Verification. 

  4. SSC Exam Result is declared after the completion of each stage/tier of the SSC exam 2022. The candidates are required to score more or equivalent to the SSC cut-off to clear the round. The candidates who qualify in one round of the exam will be eligible to appear for the next round of the SSC exam. After qualifying in all the stages of the respective SSC exam, the candidates will be considered for the final appointment of the post.

Q.Is there any negative marking scheme for the SSC Exams 2022?

  1. For SSC GD there is no negative marking.
  2. While, for every wrong attempt candidates will be penalised 0.25 marks in SSC CGL, SSC CPO and SSC JE exam.
  3. In SSC CHSL exams the candidates will lose 0.5 marks for each wrong answer. 

Q.What is the minimum age criteria for all SSC exams?

  1. The age limit is different for different exams.

  2.  The minimum age of a candidate applying for SSC JE, SSC CHSL, SSC CGL, and SSC GD must be 18 years and that of a candidate applying for SSC CPO must be 20 years of age. 

  3. The upper age limit for various SSC exams differs as per the category of the candidates.

  1. The minimum educational qualification prescribed by the Staff Selection Commission for most of its exams ranges from Class 10 to graduation. 
  2. To appear for SSC MTS, candidates need to pass Class 10, for SSC CHSL candidates need to pass Class 12 and for SSC CGL candidates need to be graduates. 

Q.Are there only objective-type questions in SSC exams 2022?

There are usually both objective and subjective questions in SSC exams. However, some SSC exams might contain only objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
