Nationality
The candidate applying for the SSC GD exam must be a citizen of India. The vacancies are state / UT wise, so the candidates should submit the domicile / PRC against their state / UT.
Age Limit
The age of the candidate must fall between the range of 18 to 23 years of age as on 01.08.2021. Candidates should not have been born earlier than 02.08.1998 and later than 01.08.2003.

SSC GD Online Application 2022
The candidates who wish to apply for the application form of SSC GD 2022 should check the following steps to make the application process in the space below.
Step 1: Registration
- Candidates will have to visit the official website of ssc. nic. in,
- Thereafter they will have to click on the candidate’s corner and click on the registration link,
- The candidates will then have to Log in with the credentials they submitted during the application form. If a candidate is a new user he/she will have to create a new account by entering the name, age, gender etc of the candidate.
- Post this, the candidates will have to enter their academic qualification and press the submit button
- On the next page, the candidates are required to provide their correspondence and permanent address.
- The candidates must note down the login credential generated upon completion of registration and keep it safe as it will be required upon taking the exam.
Step 2: Application Form
- Once the registration process is completed, the candidates will have to log in with the credentials generated.
- Thereafter, the candidates will be required to enter all important details such as the candidate’s name, age, gender, father and mother’s name etc.
- On the next page, the candidates will have to upload their scanned copies of the photo and signature.
- In the final step, the candidates must go through the application form and press the submit button.

Online Written Examination
The candidates preparing for the SSC GD 2022 Constable must prepare themselves according to the syllabus asked in the SSC GD examination. The previous year question paper and the exam pattern will help the candidates have a better understanding of what the exams will look like. Even if the SSC GD Constable 2022 exam pattern has not been released the candidates can follow the pattern as the previous year, and in case of any changes, the authorities will update the pattern accordingly.
- The written exam will consist of four different subjects. (General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Knowledge & General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, and English/Hindi)
- There will be 100 questions in the exam for a total of 100 marks.
- Each question will carry +1 marks each.
- There will be no negative marking.
- The exam will be conducted in both Hindi and English languages.

SSC GD Job Profile:
The SSC GD Constables have to manage all the duties and charges in the absence of a Sub-Inspector and Assistant Sub-Inspector. The GD constables will have to perform all the investigations to solve cases. They have to work under the supervision of SHO and follow their instructions. SSC GD Constables are part of many defense units like BSF, ITBP, CISF, SSB, CRPF, Assam Rifles and SSF.
SSC GD Salary 2022:
The average salary of a fresher joining the SSC GD Constable post is approximately Rs. 23,527 per month and the basic pay provided to a General Duty Constable at various security forces is Rs. 21,700.
- SSC GD pay scale - Rs. 21700 to 69100.
Along with the basic pay Dearness Allowances of Rs. 434, House Rent Allowances Rs. 2,538 and Transport Allowances of Rs. 1,224 is provided to the SSC GD Constables. Other than this the GD Constables are also provided with Medical facilities, Pension schemes, Annual paid leaves, Security allowances and Field allowances.

SSC GD Result 2022
SSC releases the SSC GD Result on their official website once the answer key is available for all the candidates. The candidates have to visit the official website of SSC and log in with their credentials to check their results whether they have qualified for phase 1 of the selection process or not. SSC GD Exam Centre Social Distancing Norms
The candidates who are appearing for the SSC GD 2022 examination have to comply with the aforesaid rules while going for the examination during the pandemic:
- The candidates are required to follow social distancing norms and maintain a distance of 6 feet between two candidates.
- The candidates should do proper hand sanitization before entering the exam hall and before the examination commences.
- SSC will follow rules as per Contactless candidate verification will be done for the candidates in different exam halls.
