SSC MTS Notification 2022 Eligibility Criteria
The SSC MTS notification 2022 Eligibility Criteria depends on three factors mentioned below,
- Nationality
- Age Limit
- Educational Qualification
Nationality/ Citizenship:
As per the SSC MTS notification 2022, a candidate must be either:
- a citizen of India, or
- a subject of Nepal, or
- a subject of Bhutan, or
- a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January,1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
- a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (2), (3), (4) and (5) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the Examination but the offer of appointment will be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him/ her by the Government of India.
SSC MTS Notification 2022 Age Limit:
The SSC MTS notification 2022 age limits (as on 1-1-2022) for the posts as per the Recruitment Rules of various User Departments are:
- 18-25 years (i.e. candidates born not before 02-01-1997 and not later than 01-01-2004) for MTS and Havaldar in CBN (Department of Revenue).
- 18-27 years (i.e. candidates born not before 02-01-1995 and not later than 01-01-2004) for Havaldar in CBIC (Department of Revenue) and a few posts of MTS

Educational Qualification:
As per the SSC MTS notification 2022 pdf, tThe candidates who wish to be a part of the SSC MTS Examination must have a minimum educational qualification.
- They must have passed the matriculation (Class 10th) or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
- The candidates who did not have qualified in the examination will not be eligible for the examination.
SSC MTS Notification 2022 Apply Online
The process of filling online application for the examination consists of two parts:
- One Time Registration
- Filling of online Application for the Examination
One Time Registration:
Read the instructions given in the SSC MTS notification 2022 pdf carefully before filling up the online 'Registration Form' and ‘Application Form’. Before proceeding with One-Time Registration, keep the following information/ documents ready:
- Mobile Number (to be verified through OTP)
- Email ID (to be verified through OTP)
- Aadhaar Number. If an Aadhaar Number is not available, please give one of the following ID Numbers. (You will be required to show the original document at a later stage):
- Voter ID Card
- PAN
- Passport
- Driving License
- School/ College ID
- Employer ID (Govt./ PSU/ Private)
- Information about the Board, Roll Number and Year of Passing the Matriculation (10th) Examination.
- Disability Certificate Number, if you are a person with benchmark disability.
For One-Time Registration, click on the ‘Register Now’ link provided in ‘Login’ Section on ssc.nic.in. One-Time Registration process requires filling up the following information:
- Basic details
- Additional and contact details
- Declaration.
Steps to Fill Up One-Time Registration Form:
Step 1: To start with, click on the above-mentioned link to get redirected to the official page of SSC.
Step 2: On the official page, you will find the "Register Now" button. Click on the button to start your SSC MTS 2021 Online Application.
Step 3: In the first part of the registration process, you must fill in your General Details, such as your name, Father's Name, Mother's Name, Address, Contact Number, Email ID, etc.
Step 4: Click on Submit Button, you will get your application number and a mail will be sent to the registered email ID with your login ID and Password.
Filling of Online Application for the Examination
- Log in to the online system through your ‘Registration Number’ and password.
- Upload your recently clicked passport size photograph and signature in the required format.

- Fill in your education qualifications, your choice of centre and click on submit button
- In the final step of the Application Process, you must pay the Application Fees for SSC MTS Exam through Online Mode of payment (Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking/NEFT etc.) or through Offline Mode of Payment (E-Challan)
- Click on the "SUBMIT APPLICATION" button.
- Your Online Application form will be successfully submitted.
- Take a printout and save the pdf file of the SSC MTS Application Form for future reference.
Note:
- The date on which the photograph has been taken must be clearly printed on the photograph. Applications without the date printed on the photograph will be rejected. Applications with blurred photographs will also be rejected.
- Applications with illegible signatures will be rejected.
SSC MTS Online Application Fees
As per the SSC MTS notification 2022 pdf, check the fee details.
- Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD), and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation - Nil.
- Others: Rs 100/- (Rs one hundred only).
Fees can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards or through cash in SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.
SSC MTS Notification 2022 Selection Process
The candidates appearing for the SSC MTS notification 2022 exam will have to qualify in all the stages speculated for the candidates. The selection process includes the following stages.
- Computer Based Examination (Paper 1)
- Physical Efficiency Test / Physical Standard Test - (PET / PST is only for the post of Havaldar)

- Paper-I will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions.
- The questions will be set both in English & Hindi for Part-II, III & IV.
- There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

- Paper-II will be of the descriptive type in ‘Pen and Paper’ Mode in which the candidates will be required to write a short essay and a letter in English or any language included in the Schedule-VIII of the Constitution.
- Paper-II will only be of qualifying nature and is intended to test elementary language skills in view of the categorization of the post as Group-C and in view of job requirements.
- However, marks scored by the candidates in Paper-II will be used to decide merit in case more than one candidate scores equal normalized marks in Paper-I.
- Paper-II will be held only for those candidates who meet the cut-off prescribed by the Commission in Paper-I for different categories.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) / Physical Standard Test (PST) for Havaldar in CBIC and CBN

SSC MTS Notification 2022 Salary:
- SSC MTS is a Group C non-gazetted, general Central Government service. It is a non-ministerial post with pay band 1(5200 – 20200) + the Grade Pay of 1800 rupees.
- The salary of SSC MTS is revised after the 7th Pay Commission application. Currently, the in-hand salary of SSC Multitasking Staff is approximately 18,000/ to 22,000/ per month.

SSC MTS Cut Off 2022
