SBI Clerk Selection Process

The SBI Clerk selection methods involve an online Preliminary, Main exam, and a specified opted local language test.

• It is important to note that there is no provision for Inter-Circle Transfer or Inter-State Transfer for recruited Junior Associates.

• Trained SBI apprentices may receive 2.5% bonus marks (5 out of 200) in the Main Examination.

• These bonus marks will be given only if an apprentice, whose engagement start date is on or after 01.01.2022 and has completed the specified branch experience of one year successfully in SBI on or before the last date of registration, i.e. 26.08.2026, provided his/ her conduct and performance is found to be satisfactory during the entire training period. Also, Successful completion of Apprenticeship training refers to passing the skill evaluation test (Trade Test) and Obtention of joint National Apprenticeship Certificate jointly issued by SBI-NSDC/ BFSI-SSC.

• Candidates should note that the opted local language test is only for those who can't prove that they studied the opted language in Class 10 or 12 via a mark sheet or certificate.

• Candidates applying for this job in a specific state must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the local language of that State/UT/Special area.
