About The SBI PO 2025 Exam

State Bank of India has notified a recruitment notification every year to invite the various levels of posts. The posts such as Probationary Officer (PO), Clerk & Specialist Officer (SO). A lot of candidates have applied and prepared for the upcoming exams. Candidates have to attain the prescribed eligibility criteria to apply for this notification. The SBI PO Age limit should be from 20 to 30 years. Candidates have to finish a degree from any recognized university. Aspirants have to qualify for the selection process as per the official notification then only they will be provisionally allotted for the final selection. 

SBI PO Selection Process

The SBI PO will be conducted in 2 phases as

• Prelims
• Mains & Descriptive Test
• Psychometric Test
• Final Selection

Prelims Exam Pattern

Note:

• There will be three sections.
• Category-wise merit list will be drawn based on the aggregate marks scored in the Preliminary Exam.
• There will be no sectional cut-off. However, there will be an overall cut off.
• There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.

Mains Exam Pattern

 Note:

• All the questions will be objective in nature.
• This Mains paper will have four sections for a total of 200 marks.
• The duration of the SBI PO Mains Exam will be 3 hours.
• The objective test will have separate timing for every section.
• There will be no sectional cut-off. There will be only an overall cut-off.
• There will be a penalty of 0.25 marks for every incorrect Multiple Choice Question.
• The Descriptive Paper of 50 marks is compulsory to attempt.

The descriptive paper of a candidate will be checked only if they qualify in the Objective test as per the qualifying marks decided by the Bank.

SBI PO Phase III

Psychometric Test- The Bank may conduct a Psychometric test for personality profiling, of those candidates who will be shortlisted for Phase III. The findings of the test may be placed before the Interview panel to have a thorough perspective on the candidates.

Candidates who have qualified for the mains exam will be called for the Group Exercise and interview round. A candidate needs to clear the Interview Process to ensure their final selection. The Bank will decide the qualifying marks for this round and the marks allotted to these rounds are Group Discussion - 20 marks, Interview - 30 marks.

Final Selection:

• Marks secured by the candidates in the SBI PO Mains Exam (out of 250 marks) are converted to out of 75 and marks secured in Group Exercises & Interview (out of 50 marks) are converted to out of 25. This makes the new total score (Mains + GD/PI) to be 100
• The aggregate score out of 100 is used for the final merit list for each category. Candidates with top merit rank in each category are finally selected.

For candidates who have attended the Group Exercise and Interview, the merit lists have been prepared. Based on the score obtained by candidates and the notified vacancies, the final cut-off marks will be declared. Candidates who have attained the prescribed final cut off shall be provisionally allotted for the final selection.
