SSC CPO 2022 Exam Eligibility Criteria

The SSC CPO exam has certain eligibility criteria for candidates aspiring for the exam. Candidates can check the SSC CPO 2022 eligibility criteria properly here for the Central Police Organisation exam. The Staff Service Commission might cancel the application at the last moment if the eligibility criteria for the exam is not met. The eligibility criteria parameters that should be met are given below.

Nationality:

A candidate must be either:

  1. citizen of India, or
  2. subject of Nepal, or
  3. a subject of Bhutan, or
  4. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories 2 and 3 above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
  5. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary will be admitted to the examination but the offer of appointment will be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India.

Age Limit:

Age limit of the candidates should be from 20 to 25 years.

Educational Qualification:

  1. Candidates need a Graduation degree in any discipline from an authorized University or any equivalent degree recognized as such by the Central Government.
  2. Sub Inspector in Delhi Police: Male candidates must have a valid Driving License (D/L) for LMV (Car & Motorcycle) as on the date fixed for PET (Physical Endurance and Standard Tests), otherwise, you will not be allowed to undergo PET. However, a Driving License is not mandatory at the time of filing an application form.

The SSC CPO Paper-1 consists of four major sections namely General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Knowledge & Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension.   1. House Rental Allowance (HRA)
    1. The government provides HRA as per the city the officer is posted in. For X City the HRA shall not be less than Rs 5,400 per month while for Y City and Z City, the HRA shall be at least Rs 3,600 and Rs 1,800, respectively. An officer gets 24 percent of basic pay in X City whereas 16 per cent and 8 per cent in Y City and Z City, respectively. 
  2. Dearness Allowance (DA)
    1. The government pays dearness allowance to its employees and pensioners to offset the impact of inflation. This is done to cope up with the increasing prices of the market. Therefore, the Government keeps a constant enhancement in the effective salary of its employees. As per the existing scenario, the current DA is 17% of the basic salary.

SSC CPO Exam Centre Social Distancing Norms

It is important for aspirants to keep the COVID-19 advisory in mind as well. Some of the guidelines that should be followed by the candidates as mentioned in the hall ticket are,

  1. The first thing is to wear a face mask or a face shield inside and outside the exam centre. 
  2. Aspirants have to carry a hand sanitizer bottle with them to the centre.
  3. Alongside, candidates are also allowed to carry a transparent water bottle.
  4. On reaching the exam centre, candidates are required to follow the social distancing norms and maintain 06 feet distance. 
  5. Candidates can also wear hand gloves if they wish to do so. 
  6. The mapping of candidates and their seating plan is shared to them at the entry gate individually. 
  7. So, candidates are advised to reach the exam centre before the reporting time mentioned on the SSC CPO 2020 admit card. 
  8. Aspirants also have to undergo a thermal screening test that is also conducted at the entry gate. 
  9. Those who have temperatures more than 99.14° F/ 37.3°C will not be allowed to take the exam.

Ans: The posts available under SSC CPO are - Sub Inspectors (SI) in Delhi Police, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), Border Security Force (BSF), SSB and Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).

Ques: What are the application charges under SSC CPO recruitment for females?

Ans: There are no charges applicable for females, SC, ST and Ex-Servicemen under SSC CPO recruitment.

Ques: In how many phases SSC CPO 2022 recruitment will be conducted?

Ans: SSC CPO 2022 Exam will be conducted in three phases.

  • Phase 1: Computer Based Exam (Online) + Physical Test
  • Phase 2: It will also be in online mode. Candidates who qualify Phase 1 will be eligible for SSC CPO Tier-II Exam.

Ans. No, candidates do not possess the right to change the allocated exam centres. This right is solely maintained by the Commission.
