SSC CGL 2022 Notification

The Staff Selection Commission released SSC CGL Notification 2021-22 on 23rd December 2021. The application process will be active from 23rd December 2021 to 23rd January 2022.  All eligible and interested candidates will be required to submit the application form on or before the last date. Only the candidates who have submitted the application form will be eligible to download the admit card and appear for the different stages of the exam. The SSC CGL 2022 Eligibility Criteria is fragmented into 4 factors which the candidates have to meet in order to be eligible to apply for the post. The important factors are as follow:

  • Nationality
  • Age Limit

  • Physical Fitness Requirements

Nationality / Citizenship:

A candidate must be either:

  1. a citizen of India, or
  2. a subject of Nepal, or
  3. a subject of Bhutan, or
  4. a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
  5. a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Other than Indian Citizens, candidates belonging to the other above-mentioned cases should have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

  3. Then, a new window will open. Click on New Registration.
  4. Enter the required details like Candidates Name, Date of Birth, Contact Number, etc and hit the submit button.
  5. You will receive the Registration ID on your mobile or email id.
  6. In the next step, log in with the registration ID, Password, and Date of Birth to fill the application form.

SSC CGL Selection Process 2022

SSC CGL selection process will be held in four tiers that are as follow:

  • Tier-I- Computer Based Examination
  • Tier-II- Computer Based Examination
  • Tier-III -Descriptive paper
  • Tier-IV – Computer Proficiency Test/Data Entry Skill Test and Document Verification

The candidates need to clear the cut-off of Tier 1 to be eligible to appear for the next round. Then, the shortlisted candidates will be called to appear for the next round based on the marks obtained by them in the first round. After qualifying in Tier 2, the candidates will be called to appear in the Tier 3 round of the exam respectively. After clearing all three stages, the shortlisted candidates will be called to appear for the Tier 4 round which is the computer proficiency test/data entry skill test for the final selection of the post.

After the candidates qualify for all three stages, they will be required to appear in the fourth stage which is Tier 4. SSC CGL Exam Centre Social Distancing Norms

  1. The candidates are advised to reach the centre as per the time slot indicated against Reporting/ Entry time in the admit card. 
  2. Candidates should note that no candidate will be allowed entry after the entry closing time in any circumstance or due to any reason. Gates will be closed strictly at entry closing time.
  3. Candidates should follow the social distancing norms. They should bring a face mask, Hand sanitizer (Small bottle), Transparent water bottle, and Printout of COVID-19 Self Declaration Form provided with the Admission Certificate.

Q How many vacancies are available for SSC CGL 2022 exam?

A . The commission will very soon release the tentative vacancies on the official website.

Q What is the mode of the SSC CGL exam?

A . The CBT rounds of the SSC CGL will be held in online mode. Whereas the descriptive paper of Tier-3 will be held in offline mode.

Q. Is negative marking applicable in SSC CGL?

A . Yes, there is a negative marking of 0.5 for each incorrect answer in Tier-I. In Tier-II, there will be a negative marking of 0.25 for each incorrect answer in Paper-II (English Language and Comprehension) and of 0.50 marks for each incorrect response in Paper-I, Paper-III, and Paper-IV.

Q. In how many stages SSC CGL recruitment is conducted?

A . SSC CGL selection process will be held in four tiers that are Tier-I (Computer Based Examination), Tier-II(Computer Based Examination), Tier-III (Descriptive paper), and Tier-IV(Computer Proficiency Test/Data Entry Skill Test and Document Verification).
