The Staff Selection Commission has released the SSC CGL Notification 2025 PDF. Nationality / Citizenship

As per the SSC CGL notification, a candidate must be either:

a citizen of India, or
a subject of Nepal, or
a subject of Bhutan, or
a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Other than Indian Citizens, candidates belonging to the other above-mentioned cases should have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

Exam Pattern for Tier 2

SSC CGL Tier-II Exam covers the following sections:

Paper I is compulsory for all the posts.
Paper-II will be for only those candidates who apply for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation and Statistical Investigator Grade-II in the office of Registrar General of India (M/o Home Affairs) and who are shortlisted in Tier-I for these Posts.
There will be negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Section I, Section II and Section III of Paper I and 0.50 marks for each wrong answer in Paper II.

Cut Off

SSC CGL exam Cut off will be released after the result. The candidates have to clear the cut-off of every tier of the exam to be shortlisted for further rounds of the selection process.
