Paper I will be conducted in two sessions - Session I & Session II, on the same day, and is compulsory for all candidates who qualify in Paper 1.

Session I will include conducting Section I, Section II, and Module I of Section III. Session II will include conducting Module II of Section III. It will be mandatory for the candidates to qualify for all the sections of Paper-I.

The “Data Entry Speed Test” (DEST) Skill Test will be conducted for a passage of about 2000 (two thousand) key depressions for 15 (fifteen) minutes.

There will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Section-I, Section-II, and Module-I of Section-III of Paper-I and 0.50 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-II and Paper-III.

Part A - Skill Test for the post of DEO/ DEO Grade 'A’ in Department/ Ministry mentioned in Para 8.1 of the official notification - The 'speed of 15000 (Fifteen Thousand) Key Depressions per hour on Computer’ will be adjudged based on the correct entry of words/ key depressions as per the given passage. The duration of the Test will be 15 (Fifteen) minutes and printed matter in English containing about 3700-4000 key depressions will be given to each candidate who would enter the same in the Computer. The passage to be entered into the computer may also be displayed on the computer screen.

Part B - Skill Test for the post of DEO/ DEO Grade 'A’ except in Department/ Ministry mentioned in Para 8.1 of the official notification - Data Entry Speed of 8,000 (Eight Thousand) Key Depressions per hour on Computer’ will be adjudged based on the correct entry of words/ key depressions as per the given passage. The duration of the Test will be 15 (Fifteen) minutes and printed matter in English containing about 2000-2200 key depressions will be given to each candidate who would enter the same in the Computer. The passage to be entered into the Computer may also be displayed on the computer screen.
Part C - Typing Test for other posts i.e. LDC/ JSA:

The medium of the Typing Test will be Hindi or English. The candidates will have to opt for the medium of Typing Test (i.e. either Hindi or English) in the online Application Form.

Candidates opting for English medium should have a typing speed of 35 words per minute (w.p.m.) and those opting for Hindi medium should have a typing speed of 30 words per minute (w.p.m.). 35 w.p.m. and 30 w.p.m. correspond to about 10500 key depressions per hour and about 9000 key depressions per hour respectively.

The speed will be adjudged on the accuracy of typing on the Computer of a given text passage in 10 minutes.

SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern 2024 for Tier II
The Tier II Exam is for those who qualify for the Tier I CBT Exam. Tier II will be a skill test where applicants first will have to write a passage on any of the given topics in 10 minutes at the speed of 100 words per minute (w.p.m.) for the post of Stenographer Grade C and 80 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade D. After that candidates will transcribe the same on the computer within the allotted time.

SSC CPO Medical Test 2024
- Minimum Near Vision: N6 (better eye) and N9 (worse eye)
- Minimum Distant Vision: 6/6 (better eye) and 6/9 (worse eye)
- Must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes
- Eye standards should be without visual correction of any kind even by glasses.
SSC CPO Paper - 2 Exam Pattern
SSC CPO Paper-2 will be conducted after PET/PST Test for SSC CPO 2024 is conducted.
- The total time duration of the exam is of 120 minutes i.e. 2 hours.
- The total number of questions asked will be around 200 and the maximum marks for Paper-2 will be 200
- The test will be on English Language and Comprehension conducted online.
