RRB Station Master Cut Off 2026: Previous Year, Category-Wise Marks

The RRB Station Master Cut Off 2026 has not been released, because the CEN 08/2026 exam is yet to be held. Railway Recruitment Boards will publish it zone-wise and category-wise with the CBT result on their regional websites.

This cycle follows a new pattern, so the cut off will work differently from earlier years. Station Master now has a single-stage CBT of 100 marks and 120 minutes, replacing CBT 1 and CBT 2. The CBT cut off will decide who is shortlisted for the CBAT, up to eight times the vacancies in each RRB.

RRB Station Master CBT 2 Cut Off for CBAT

In CEN 06/2025, the CBT 2 cut off decided which candidates were called for the CBAT, the Station Master aptitude test. The UR cut off for CBAT ranged from 70.94 in Guwahati to 81.89 in Bilaspur (CR), as shown in the CBT 2 table above.

From 2026, there is no CBT 2, so the single-stage CBT score will decide CBAT shortlisting directly. Each RRB will call up to eight times its vacancies for the CBAT, in order of CBT merit. The RRB Station Master CBAT cut off is therefore effectively the CBT mark of the last shortlisted candidate.

Factors Affecting RRB Station Master Cut Off

Several factors decide how high or low the RRB Station Master cut off 2026 will settle in each zone.

  • Number of vacancies: 1,265 posts this year, against 615 last cycle, should ease the competition in most RRBs.
  • Number of applicants: a separate Station Master exam may draw fewer applicants than the combined NTPC Graduate exam.
  • New syllabus: removing General Awareness makes the paper heavier on mathematics, science and reasoning.
  • Paper difficulty and normalisation: marks from different shifts are normalised, which can shift the final cut off up or down.
  • CBAT shortlisting ratio: calling eight times the vacancies sets the cut off at a fixed merit rank in each RRB.
  • Category-wise vacancies: a zone with very few SC, ST or ESM posts often records a higher cut off for that category.
  • Zone popularity: RRBs in high-demand regions, such as Bhopal and Ranchi, usually record the highest marks.

How to Download RRB Station Master Cut Off PDF

The RRB Station Master cut off PDF is published on each regional RRB website, not on a single central portal.

  • Visit the official website of the RRB you applied to, such as rrbkolkata.gov.in or rrbcdg.gov.in.
  • Open the latest news or results section on the RRB homepage.
  • Click the link for the CEN 08/2026 Station Master CBT result and cut off.
  • Open the PDF and locate the row for your railway zone or production unit.
  • Read the cut off under your category column, such as UR, OBC, SC, ST, EWS or ESM.
  • Download and save the PDF, because the same link may later carry the CBAT or final result.

What Happens After Clearing the Cut Off?

Candidates who clear the CBT cut off move through the following stages before receiving an appointment.

  • CBAT: shortlisted candidates take the Computer-Based Aptitude Test and must score a T-score of 42 in each battery. They must carry an original vision certificate in the CEN format, or they cannot sit the test.
  • Final merit: the RRB combines 70% of the CBT score with 30% of the CBAT score to prepare the merit list.
  • Document verification: candidates in the merit zone must produce original certificates for qualification, age, category and vision.
  • Medical examination: candidates must pass the A-2 medical standard, including 6/9 vision in each eye without glasses.
  • Empanelment: candidates who clear every stage are empanelled and allotted to a railway zone for training and posting.
