The aspirants before applying for the ECGC PO recruitment must check the ECGC PO eligibility criteria, which are given below. As per the official notification, the candidates must fulfill the ECGC PO eligibility criteria to be allowed to write the ECGC PO exam. The ECGC PO eligibility criteria include ECGC PO educational qualification, ECGC PO Age limit, and ECGC PO nationality.

ECGC PO educational qualifications: A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognized by the Government of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. The candidate must possess a valid mark sheet / Degree Certificate that he/ she is a graduate on the day he/she registers, and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online. 

ECGC PO Age Limit: Age(as on 1-11-2025) is:

• Minimum - 21 years

• Maximum - 30 years

ECGC PO Nationality: 

(i) a Citizen of India or

(ii) a subject of Nepal or 

(iii) a subject of Bhutan or 

(iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or 

(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

A candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

Physical Disability and Scribe Qualification: Only those persons with benchmark disabilities would be eligible for reservation. The aspirants who possess disability of more than 40% in locomotor disability and cerebral palsy/visually impaired candidates/ intellectual disability shall be permitted to avail a scribe. Also, these candidates will be given extra compensatory time of 20 minutes. The person who will act as a scribe may be from any academic stream. The candidate himself has to bear the cost of the scribe. The Scribe has to fill out the self-declaration as released by the company and duly submit it on the exam day.
