Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman Birthday 2024 History

C.V. Raman was born on 7th November 1888, in Tiruchirappalli. His father's name was Chandrasekhara Ramanathan Iyer who was a professor of Physics and Mathematics who worked in Visakhapatnam. C.V. Raman was brilliant in early school life. He joined the Presidency College and received his graduate degree in 1904. He has done his Master's in Physics from the same college.  He got an opportunity to join the University of Calcutta in 1917, as the first Professor of Physics. After 15 years at Calcutta, he became the Professor at the Indian Institute of Science at Bangalore from 1933-1948, and since 1948, he has become the Director of the Raman Institute of Research at Bangalore which was established and endowed by C.V. Raman only. He Died in November 1970.
