RBI Grade B Selection Process 2022:
The candidates applying for RBI Grade B recruitment must undergo three stages of the RBI Grade B selection Process which are known as phases. The stages of the RBI Grade B selection process are as follows:
- Phase I: Prelims
- Phase II: Mains
- Phase III: Interview
For General DR posts the RBI Group B selection criteria will be the above-given list and for DSIM/DEPR the selection method will be of two stages and they are

Phase 1 Preliminary examination (General)
RBI Grade B Phase I examination is going to be online objective-based and the candidates have been compelled to answer 200 marks weightage questions total time allotted assigned for the completion of all the sections of the Preliminary exam is 120 minutes. 0.25 marks are subtracted from each question that's tried wrong by a candidate in RBI Grade B Prelims 2022 exam.
Phase 2 Mains Examination (General)
The RBI Grade B Phase II will also be commenced within the online mode. The aspirants have been compelled to answer both subjective and objective-type questions. RBI Grade B Mains exam has a total mark of 300. The mains (Phase-II) examination for RBI Grade B Officers in Gr B (DR)- General is consist of 3 papers (Paper-I +Paper-II +Paper-III). The Phase-II online Examination will be conducted only for the candidates who are shortlisted from Phase-I based on the cut-off decided by the Board.
Mains Examination of DEPR:
The selection of the candidates for RBI Grade B (DR)- DEPR will be done through Online/ Written examinations and interviews. There are 3 papers for the Examination. Paper I Objective Type (on Economics) and Paper II & III will be descriptive types. Candidates' evaluation is based on the minimum combination marks in Paper I, as prescribed, are shortlisted for Paper-II/ Paper III of the examination supported by the marks obtained in Paper-I. The final selection will be on the basis of performance in Paper I, II & III, and interview. The interview round shall be seventy-five marks.
Mains Examination of DSIM:
The selection of the candidates for RBI Grade B (DR)- DSIM will be done through Online/ Written examinations and interviews. There are 3 unit papers for the Examination. Paper I has Objective sort of questions (on Statistics) whereas Paper II & III will be descriptive types. Candidates getting minimum total marks in Paper I, as prescribed, will be shortlisted for Paper-II/ Paper III of the examination supported on the marks obtained in Paper-I. The final selection will be on the premisis of performance in Paper I, II & III, and interview. The interview round shall be 75 marks.
RBI Grade B Interview
The Interview will be conducted for 75 marks for each post. Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview, supported on an aggregate of marks obtained in Phase-II (Paper-I +Paper-II +Paper-III). Candidates might decide on an interview either in Hindi or English. The candidates are finally selected based on the merit list that will be ready by aggregate marks secured by candidates in Phase-II examination and interview. Besides the preliminary exam and the mains exam, an interview process is also conducted for candidates who qualify for the first two phases of the RBI Grade B Officer Exam. In the interview round, the candidates have compelled to carry all the supporting documents. The candidates are selected finally based on the marks secured in the mains examination and the interview
