Padma Awards 2023 Winners List: Padma Awards are known as the second-highest Civilian honors in the Country after Bharat Ratna. The Padma Awards for the year 2023 have been announced on the occasion of Republic Day 2023. Every year on January 26, India's Republic Day, the Padma awards are announced. Padma Awards 2023: The Padma Awards are conferred by the president of India at ceremonial functions which are held at Rashtrapati Bhawan on 26th January 2022. These Awards are conferred by the President of India at ceremonial functions which are held at Rashtrapati Bhawan usually around March/ April every year. For the year 2023, the President has approved the conferment of 106 Padma Awards including 3 duo cases (in a duo case, the Award is counted as one) as per the list below. The list comprises 6 Padma Vibhushan, 9 Padma Bhushan, and 91 Padma Shri Awards. 19 of the awardees are women and the list also includes 2 persons from the category of Foreigners/NRI/PIO/OCI and 7 Posthumous awardees. The Awards are given in three categories: Padma Vibhushan (for exceptional and distinguished service), Padma Bhushan (distinguished service of higher order), and Padma Shri (distinguished service). The award seeks to recognize achievements in all fields of activities or disciplines where an element of public service is involved. The Padma Awards are conferred on the recommendations made by the Padma Awards Committee, which is constituted by the Prime Minister every year. The nomination process is open to the public. Padma Bhushan Award 2023
The Padma Bhushan is India's third-highest civilian award for distinguished service of a high order to the nation. Service in any field, including service offered by government workers, is a requirement for the award. However, it excludes people working in PSUs, with the exception of doctors and scientists. The Padma Bhushan comes after the Bharat Ratna and the Padma Vibhushan in the hierarchy, but before the Padma Shri. Homi Jehangir Bhabha, Shanti Swaroop Bhatnagar, Maithili Sharan Gupt, Sukumar Sen, MS Subbulakshmi, Kodandera Subayya Thimayya, V Narahari Rao, Amarnath Jha, and Hussain Ahmad Madani were some of the first recipients of the award in 1954. Padma Vibhushan Award 2023
The Padma Vibhushan is the Indian government's second-highest civilian award, granted for 'exceptional and distinguished contributions. The award is given without regard to ethnicity, occupation, status, or gender. Those who get the award are given a certificate as well as a medal with a lotus in the center and the words 'Desh Seva' etched on the front of the medal. Satyendra Nath Bose, Zakir Hussain, Balasaheb Gangadhar Kher, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, VK Krishna Menon, and Nand Lal Bose were the first recipients of the award in 1954.

Padma Awards Nomination Process: Details
The Padma award nomination consists of two types. They are citizen and authority processes.
Citizen Nomination:
The aspirants can check the Padma awards nomination of the citizen process is given below.
- Go to Nomination and choose the BY CITIZEN option.
- Now register yourself with valid details for further process.
- If you have already registered, proceed to log in.
- After successful registration and login process, follow the user menu to nominate yourself.
- Upload the relevant documents (in PDF format) wherever required.
- After filling in all the required details, you have to save the form as a draft.
- In the nomination process, after the Final Submission, you cannot edit/modify the details.
Authority Nomination:
The aspirants can check the Padma awards nomination of authority process is given below.
- Go to Nomination and choose the BY AUTHORITY option.
- Now select the authority type and proceed to the registration process.
- If you have already registered, proceed to log in.
- After registration, make a search for any existing (desired) nomination. If searching parameters do not find your result, then you can proceed to the new nomination process.
- After filling in all the required details, you have to save the form as a draft.
- In the nomination process, after the Final Submission, you cannot edit/modify the details.
- If in the search result, there is an existing nomination to which you want to recommend, select the nominee and proceed with uploading the recommending letter/documents (in PDF format) and citation for the nominee if any.
