The aspirants here check the SBI PO new exam pattern 2026. The individual exam pattern for prelims and mains exams are given below. The SBI PO exam pattern covers the details of the number of questions from each section, marks, sectional timings, and exam language. For both prelims and mains each question for which a wrong answer 1/4th of marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty to arrive at a corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. if no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.

SBI PO Prelims Exam Pattern 2026

The SBI PO Prelims exam pattern 2026 is given below.

The SBI PO Prelims Exam is based on objective-type or multiple-choice questions.
There is a total of 100 questions.
The SBI Probationary Officer Prelims exam consists of three sections - English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability section.
The time duration of the SBI Prelims exam is 1 hour. Each section carries 20 mins.
For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, 1/4th of marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty
There will be category-wise merit list will be drawn based on the marks scored in the SBI PO Prelims exam. There will be no sectional cut-off for prelims.
