The RRB ALP Syllabus 2026 for CEN 01/2026 has one major change: General Awareness has been removed from CBT 1, which now tests only Mathematics, Mental Ability and General Science. RRB ALP CBT 1 2026 will be held from 3 to 5 November 2026 for 11,127 posts, city intimation slips are out, and the admit card has been released date-wise from 30 October, four days before each exam date. RRB ALP CBT 1 Syllabus 2026 in Hindi and English
CBT 1 is a screening test of 75 questions covering three subjects. Since General Awareness has been dropped, all 75 questions now come from Mathematics, Mental Ability and General Science, so these three subjects need complete coverage.

RRB ALP CBT 2 Syllabus 2026
The RRB ALP CBT 2 Syllabus 2026 has two parts that serve different purposes. Part A tests general aptitude and basic engineering and decides who moves to CBAT, while Part B tests knowledge of the candidate's own ITI or Diploma trade and is only qualifying.

Only Part A marks are used to shortlist candidates for CBAT and to prepare the final merit list. Part B must be cleared, but its marks are not added to merit.
RRB ALP CBAT Exam Pattern and Test Batteries
The RRB ALP exam has two papers, CBT 1 and CBT 2 (with Part A and Part B), followed by the Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT). CBAT is a psychometric test with five test batteries, available in Hindi and English, and candidates must score at least 42 in each battery.

CBAT has no negative marking. RRB shortlists candidates for CBAT at about eight times the category-wise vacancies, based on CBT 2 Part A scores.
