SSC CHSL Tier 1 Exam Pattern (Computer Based Test)

SSC CHSL Tier 1 examination is a computer-based test consisting of 4 sections namely,

• General Intelligence
• General Awareness
• Quantitative Aptitude
• English Language sections.

SSC CHSL Tier 2 Exam Pattern (Descriptive Paper)

Tier 2 is descriptive paper in pen and paper mode. There is no negative marking in the tier 2 exam. Tier II will contain descriptive-type questions and the minimum qualifying marks will be 33%. The paper will have to be written either in Hindi or in English.

Tier III (Skill Test / Typing Test)

SSC CHSL Tier I Syllabus 2022

The SSC CHSL Tier II Syllabus consists of Essay writing and letter writing. The essay and letter writing sections check the writing skills of the candidates. 

Essay Writing:

Mostly, the essay writing will be asked from topics such as  National Interest, Sports, Ecological Issues, Finance & Economy, Geopolitics, Politics,  Social Issues,  Technology, Environmental Concerns, Schemes & Governance, and so on, etc.

Letter Writing:

The letter topics that will be of major focus are the Complaint, Application, Official Appreciation, Suggestion, Feedback, and so on.

SSC CHSL Tier III Syllabus 2022

The SSC CHSL tier III syllabus is provided below.

Data Entry Operator

Speed:

8,000 (Eight Thousand) Key Depressions per hour on Computer’ will be adjudged on the basis of the correct entry of words/ key depressions as per the given passage

Duration:

15 (Fifteen) minutes and printed matter in English containing about 2000-2200 key-depressions would be given to each candidate who would enter the same in the Computer.

Data Entry Operator in the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG):

Speed:

15000 (Fifteen Thousand) Key Depressions per hour on Computer’ will be adjudged on the basis of the correct entry of words/ key depressions as per the given passage.

Duration:

15 (Fifteen) minutes and printed matter in English containing about 3700-4000 key-depressions would be given to each candidate who would enter the same in the Computer.

Lower Division Clerk/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (LDS/JSA) and Postal Assistants/ Sorting Assistants (PA/SA):

Speed:

The speed of 10500 key depressions per hour will be adjudged on the basis of the correct entry of words/key depressions as per the given passage.

Duration:

The duration of the test will be for 15 minutes and printed matter in English containing about 9000 key-depressions/hour would be given to each candidate who would enter the same in the test computer.
