PNB Apprentice Eligibility Criteria

The Punjab National Bank Apprentice Eligibility Criteria depends on three factors mentioned below,

  1. Nationality
  2. Age Limit
  3. Educational Qualification

 

Nationality:

A candidate must be either –

(i) a citizen of India or

(ii) a subject of Nepal or

(iii) a subject of Bhutan or

(iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or

(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

PNB Apprentice Educational Qualification:

(i) Graduate degree in any discipline from any Institute/ College/ University recognized/ approved by Govt. bodies/ AICTE/ UGC. The result of the qualification must have been declared on or before 31.12.2025, and the candidate must produce Mark Sheets and Provisional/ Degree Certificate issued by the University/ College/ Institute as and when required by the Bank.

(ii) For the candidates registered under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS), the date of passing their Graduation should not be more than 4 years preceding the cut-off date, i.e. 01.01.2026.

(iii) The candidates applying for training seats of a particular State/ UT should be proficient (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) inthe local language of that State/UT.

PNB Apprentice Salary 2026

The apprentices are eligible for the stipend as mentioned below during their engagement period of one year.

  • The apprentices are eligible for a stipend of Rs.15000/- per month in metro branches.

  • The apprentices are eligible for a stipend of Rs.12300/- per month in urban / semi-urban / rural branches.
