Bank of Baroda LBO Eligibility Criteria

The candidate who fulfills all the criteria given below is eligible to apply for the Local Bank Officer posts.

Nationality

 (i) a Citizen of India or

 (ii) a subject of Nepal or

(iii) a subject of Bhutan or

(iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or 

(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

• Maximum: 30 years

Bank of Baroda LBO Educational Qualification

The educational qualification for Bank of Baroda LBO is,

• Graduation in any stream from a Government of India/AICTE recognized University or college.

• Professional Qualifications in Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant, Medical, or Engineering can also apply.

Post Qualification Work Experience

• Minimum 1 year Post Qualification Work Experience as an Officer in any scheduled commercial bank or Regional Rural Bank listed in 2nd schedule of RBI.

NOTE:

• Experience in NBFCs Cooperative banks, Payment Banks, Small Finance Banks, and Fintechs is NOT Eligible.
• Employees of BOB who have resigned from Officer grade or exited from bank while serving on contract within the last 3 years as on the cut-off date are NOT eligible.
• Employees working in BOB in Officer grade or employees in contract basis are NOT eligible.

Language Proficiency

Candidates must be proficient in the local language of the State they are applying for (reading, writing, and understanding).

Credit History

As per the Bank of Baroda LBO notification 2026 pdf,

• Minimum CIBIL score - 680 or above at the time of joining.
• The minimum credit score will be as per the Banks policy, amended from time to time.
• Candidates with record of default in repayment of loans/credit card dues and/or against whose name adverse report of CIBIL or other external agencies are available are not eligible for appointment. The Bank reserves the right to disqualify candidates with an unsatisfactory credit profile.
