Steps to apply online

• Click on Notification under Officer Selection.
• Choose the “Short Service Commission (SSC) Technical Men–57 or Women–28” advertisement. Read the notification carefully and thoroughly.

Indian Army SSC Recruitment: Eligibility Criteria 

Educational Qualification: 

• SSC Men tech / SSC Women tech: must have B.E. / B. Tech in engineering stream stated in the notification from government recognized University / Institute OR final year of engineering but should be able to produce degree certificate on or before 1 October 2021. 
• SSC Women Non-Tech: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University / Institute. 

Age Limit: The candidates must be of the minimum age of 20 years to the maximum age of 27 years. The upper age limit relaxation for widows of Defence Personnel who died in Harness is 35 years.

 

Indian Army SSC Technical Selection Process

The selection process for SSC Tech will be carried out in three stages as mentioned below.

• Shortlisting of Applications: After the shortlisted of candidates, they are allotted to the selection center. SSB dates are available on a first-come first-serve basis initially.
• SSB Interview (Stage I & II): Stage I is qualifying in nature the candidates who clear stage I will move on to Stage II. this will be followed by the medical examination of the candidates who are shortlisted from stage II. On clearing, interview process of 5 days candidate will be recommended for Indian Army post that he has to clear medical test too. 
• Medical Examination: Candidates who pass the medical standards and medical procedures make an entry into Army.

 

The candidates selected after the final stage undergo a probationary period or training period of years before joining the Army.
