Chandigarh Police Department has announced the recruitment and conducts the Chandigarh Police Recruitment 2022 exam for the recruitment of eligible candidates for the post of Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) of Police under the Chandigarh Police Department. The Department has announced the recruitment for 49 vacant posts in total and is ready to recruit talented and eligible employees for those vacant posts. The selection process for Chandigarh Police recruitment of candidates for the post of Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) of Police is based on five stages and they are mentioned below.

• Objective Type Tier-1 Written Exam
• Subjective Type Tier-2 Written Test
• Physical Efficiency and Measurement Test (PE&MT)

Chandigarh Police ASI Exam Pattern 2022:

Tier 1 Objective Exam Pattern:

The Tier 1 Examination will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions only. The question paper for the written test shall be in Hindi, English, and Punjab. There will be 6 sections with a total of 50 marks. One-fourth mark will be deducted for each wrong answer from the total. The tier 1 exam pattern is listed below;

Tier 2 Subjective Exam Pattern:

It consists of two parts where part 1 will language essay (English, Hindi, Punjabi) with 30 marks, and part 2 will be Language Skills (English) with 20 marks. The candidates who are shortlisted from Tier 1 examination will be allowed to attend the tier 2 examination.

Physical Efficiency and Measurement Test (PE&MT):

The entire process will be conducted under r.ideographi. and the recordings under the custody of the DSP/Training for three years. Candidates not fulfilling the height criteria could be rejected. Only candidates fulfilling the height criteria are allowed to proceed further in PE&MT as per the following criteria:

• Height (Male): 5 Feet 7 Inches
• Height (Female): 5 Feet 2 Inches
• Chest (Male): 33 Inches with an expansion of 1.5 Inches
