  • Candidates must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a university recognized by the Government of India.

  • The required qualification must be completed within the prescribed eligibility period and supported by the necessary documents.

Work Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of post-qualification work experience as an Officer in any scheduled commercial bank listed in the 2nd Schedule of the RBI. 

 

Experience That Does Not Qualify

 

Experience from the following institutions is not considered under the stated criteria:

  • NBFCs

  • Cooperative Banks

  • Payments Banks

  • Small Finance Banks (SFBs)

  • Fintech companies

So, having one year of banking-related experience is not enough. The institution and officer-level role must both satisfy the eligibility requirements.

Local Language Proficiency

  • Since LBOs are recruited for specific states/circles, candidates must be proficient in the official local language of the state they select.

  • Proficiency means being able to read, write, and speak

  • Candidates can generally establish proficiency through their 10th or 12th-standard mark sheet if the required local language was studied as a subject.

  • If the required language is not shown in the relevant educational documents, the candidate may have to qualify in the Local Language Proficiency Test (LPT) during the selection process.

 

Who Is Not Eligible to Apply for Bank of Baroda LBO Recruitment?

Certain candidates are specifically excluded from the Bank of Baroda LBO recruitment. You should not apply if you fall into any of the following categories:

  • Current BOB Officer-Cadre Employees: Candidates currently working with Bank of Baroda in the officer cadre are not eligible.

  • Current Contractual Employees: Candidates presently engaged with Bank of Baroda on a contractual basis are also not eligible.

  • Recent Former BOB Officers: Candidates who resigned from an officer-grade position or exited a contractual officer role at Bank of Baroda within the three years preceding the prescribed cut-off date are not eligible.
