Selection Methods For SBI PO
Candidates will have to qualify separately for each phase of this SBI PO recruitment.

Phase 1 - Prelims

Phase 2 - Mains

Phase 3 - Psychometric Test, Group Exercise (20 marks), & Interview (30 marks).

The Bank may conduct a Psychometric test for personality profiling, of those candidates who will be shortlisted for Phase-III.
-
The findings of the test may be placed before the Interview panel to have a thorough perspective on the candidates.

Marks secured by the candidates in Phase II (out of 250 marks) are converted to out of 75 marks and Phase-III scores of candidates (out of 50 marks) are converted to out of 25 marks.

The final merit list arrived after aggregating (out of 100) converted marks of Phase II and Phase III.

Selection will be made from the top merit-ranked candidates in each category.
Eligibility Criteria for the SBI PO Exam
Before proceeding with the application form, candidates must ensure that they meet the eligibility qualifications detailed in the SBI PO notification. The eligibility criteria are listed below.
Nationality
Applicants should be Indian Citizens to become eligible for the Probationary Officers (POs) in the State Bank of India. The selected candidates may be posted anywhere in India.
Educational Qualification
As per the notification PDF, check the qualification details for the Probationary Officer posts.

Candidates must possess a Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification.

Those who are in the Final Year/ Semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for an interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination.

As per the notification, candidates with an Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificate should check the date of passing the IDD. Candidates possessing qualifications such as Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountant, and Cost Accountant would also be eligible.

Exam Pattern For the SBI PO Exam

Preliminary Exam Pattern (Phase I)
The SBI PO prelims exam consists of three sections. The sectional cut-off for the prelims has been removed, and only the overall marks from all sections will be considered for the next round of selection.

There will be a deduction of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer in the prelim exam.

It is mandatory to clear prelims before writing the main exam.

Candidates who have already appeared for the maximum number of permissible chances are not eligible to apply.

The number of chances will be counted from the examination held on 18.04.2010.

Appearing in the Preliminary Examination will not be counted as a chance.

Appearing in the Main Examination will be counted as a chance.

In the years in which only one written examination has been held (i.e. no Preliminary Examination has been held), appearing in this examination will be counted as a chance.

Pay Scale and the Salary
The starting basic pay for the SBI Probationary Officer post is 41,960/- (with 4 advance increments) on a scale of 36000-1490/7-46430-1740/2-49910-1990/7-63840.

The candidates will also be eligible for allowances and perks along with an attractive salary package.

The annual compensation, calculated on a Cost to Company (CTC) basis, will range from a minimum of 8.20 lacs to a maximum of 13.08 lacs, depending upon the location of the posting and various other factors.

Cut-Off and Results
The cut-off and results of SBI PO exams are released on the official website.

The board releases cut-off marks and results after the completion of every round of the exam.

The candidates are required to clear the cut-off of every round to be qualified for the next stage of the exam.

After the candidates clear the Cut-off of all three rounds then they will be considered eligible for appointment to the Post.
