• The 15th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP15) to the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS) was held under the Brazil Presidency from 23 to 29 March 2026 in Campo Grande, Brazil.
• Min Aung Hlaing, former Commander-in-Chief of the Tatmadaw (Myanmar Armed Forces), was elected as the 11th President of Myanmar by the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (Assembly of the Union).

• Ashwini Bhide, an IAS officer of 1995 batch, has been appointed as the new Municipal Commissioner of Mumbai by the Maharashtra Government.
• Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM has assumed charge as the Vice Chief of the Army Staff (VCOAS).

• Bharti Airtel has become the world’s second-largest mobile operator, crossing 650 million global mobile subscribers as per GSMA data.
