- The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, approved the Pradhan Mantri Surya Sarovar Yojana (PM-SSY) for the development of Floating Solar Photovoltaic (FSPV) Projects with Energy Storage Systems (ESS), with a total outlay of ₹5,070 crore.
- The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, approved the continuation of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Scheme for the period 2026–27 to 2030–31 with a financial outlay of ₹3.15 lakh crore.
- The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, approved the expanded Khelo India Scheme and the Enhanced Assistance to National Sports Federations (ANSFs) with a combined outlay of ₹36,441 crore for the period 2026–27 to 2030–31.

- India achieved near-universal banking coverage, with 99.92% of inhabited villages now having access to a banking outlet within a 5 km radius as per data uploaded on the Jan Dhan Darshak (JDD) App.

- IndiaAI, under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy) to accelerate the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across India's traditional medicine ecosystem.
- India and Bhutan reviewed the progress of their development partnership under Bhutan's 13th Five-Year Plan (2024–29) during the 5th India–Bhutan Development Cooperation Talks held in Thimphu, Bhutan.
- The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) signed an Umbrella Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Geological Survey of India (GSI) to strengthen collaboration in geoscience, mineral exploration and disaster management through advanced next-generation technologies.

- The Indian Navy received the second Indigenous Diving Support Vessel (DSV) ‘Nipun’ from Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) on 30 July 2026 at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

- India has improved its global ranking by 25 places, moving from 82nd position in 2010 to 57th position in 2023 in the Market Distortions Performance Index (MDPI), according to the report “India’s Next Growth Frontier: Reducing Anti-Competitive Market Distortions to Build on India’s 2010–2023 Reform Progress” released by the Competere Foundation.
- The Environmental Performance Index (EPI) 2026 has been released by Yale University in collaboration with the Yale Center for Environmental Law & Policy (YCELP), Columbia University’s Center for International Earth Science Information Network (CIESIN) and the Yale Center for Geospatial Solutions, with support from the McCall MacBain Foundation.
- Meena Bindra, founder of BIBA, secured the top position in the Candere Hurun India Women Leaders List 2026, recognising her contribution to the Indian fashion and lifestyle sector.
