- Major General G. Sriniva swas assumed charge as the Commandant of the College of Defence Management (CDM), Secunderabad on October 1, 2025.

- Department of Posts (DoP), Ministry of Communications signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, to promote sustainable packaging and enhance postal service efficiency.

- The Indian Navy’s Submarine Rescue Unit (East) embarked on INS Nistar showcased its capability at Exercise Pacific Reach 2025 (XPR-25) hosted by the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN).
- The Indian Navy successfully concluded its biannual joint amphibious exercise ‘Jal Prahar 2025’ in coordination with the Indian Army along the eastern seaboard.
- INS Sutlej, a specialised hydrographic survey vessel of the Indian Navy, arrived at Port Louis, Mauritius on 29 September 2025 to undertake the 18th Joint Hydrographic Survey.
- First Training Squadron (1TS) ships – INS Tir, INS Sujata, INS Shardul, and ICGS Sarathi – made a port call at Mombasa, Kenya on 25 September 2025.
- On September 26, 2025, the Indian Air Force (IAF) formally retired its iconic MiG-21 fighter jets, with the last two squadrons — 23 (Panthers) and No. 3 (Cobras), operating 36 jets, decommissioned in Chandigarh.

- AstroSat, India’s first multi-wavelength astronomy satellite, was launched on 28 September 2015 by PSLV-C30 from Sriharikota, with a lift-off mass of 1515 kg into a 650 km orbit.
- Hyderabad-based Equal AI has launched India’s first AI Call Assistant, capable of answering unknown calls in English, Hindi, and Hinglish, moving beyond caller ID and spam detection.
