- APEDA (Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority) facilitated the flag-off of a 24 MT consignment of frozen food products from Sonipat, Haryana to Canada on 1 October 2026.

- The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) approved a series of regulatory reforms covering Portfolio Management Services (PMS), settlement proceedings, Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs), commodity derivatives, and advertising norms.
- India’s Index of Industrial Production (IIP) grew by 8.0% year-on-year in August 2026, accelerating from 6.7% in July 2026 as per the Quick Estimates released by Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI).
- The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, approved the Government of India’s ₹10,000 crore commitment towards establishing the SME Growth Fund (SGF).

- The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MoMSME) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) to strengthen the Statistical Business Register (SBR).
- Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and SkyPulse Solutions IFSC Private Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop a framework for the acquisition, financing, leasing, deployment and lifecycle support of HAL-manufactured helicopters.
