Candidates applying for most SSC CPO posts must hold a Bachelor's degree from a recognised university or equivalent. Candidates appearing in the final year of their degree can also apply, provided they obtain the required qualification by the date specified by SSC.

The SSC CPO 2026 selection process includes written examinations, physical tests and a medical examination. Candidates have to qualify at each stage to move to the next stage of recruitment.
Phase 1: Paper 1
