As per the official NICL AO notification, the NICL AO interview, both total and minimum qualifying marks, will be decided by the Company in due course. There are other few more details to learn about the interview of NICL AO 2025. They are:

• Generalist & Specialist Candidates who have been shortlisted based on online Phase–II (Mains Examination) will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Company.

• An interview will be conducted at selected centres.

• The centre, address of the venue, time & date of the Interview will be informed to the shortlisted candidates in the call letter.

• Candidates are required to download their interview call letters from the company’s website. Please note that any request regarding a change in date, centre, etc. of the interview will not be entertained.

The weightage (ratio) of the online Main Examination and Interview will be 80:20, respectively. While the main examination carries higher weightage, the interview holds a decisive role in close competition. Although the interview has relatively lower weightage compared to mains, it often becomes the deciding factor for candidates with similar written scores.

Candidates will have to secure minimum qualifying marks in the interview, which will be decided by the Company in due course. Scores of the candidates failing to secure minimum qualifying scores or otherwise barred from the interview or further process may not be disclosed. The final merit list shall be prepared in descending order of the consolidated marks secured by the candidates. A candidate should be sufficiently high in merit to be shortlisted for the subsequent recruitment process. In the event of two or more candidates having obtained the same consolidated score, final merit is decided in the following order:

• a) Marks secured in the interview (the candidate securing higher marks in the interview shall be placed before/ above the candidate securing lesser marks).

• If interview marks are the same, then b) date of birth (the candidate senior in age is placed before/ above the candidate junior in age).

Key Points About the Final Selection in NICL AO 2025

The key points to be noted before the NICL AO interview are:

• Candidates must necessarily produce the relevant documents in original and self-attested photocopies in support of the candidate’s eligibility and identity are to be invariably submitted at the time of interview, failing which the candidate may not be permitted to appear for the interview.

• Non-submission of the requisite documents by the candidate at the time of the interview will debar his candidature from further participation in the recruitment process.

• Appointment of selected candidates is subject to their being found medically fit as per the requirements of the Company. Such an appointment will also be subject to the service and conduct rules of the Company.

• The candidates are advised to satisfy themselves before they apply that they fulfil the requirements as to age and qualification, and if found ineligible, their candidature will be cancelled at any stage of the recruitment process. 

• Appearing in the interview will not automatically confer any right to be selected for the said post.

• In the examination hall, as well as at the time of the interview, the call letter, along with the original and a photocopy of the candidate’s currently valid photo identity.

• If a candidate is found guilty of unfair practices, impersonation, misconduct, or carrying electronic devices during the interview or selection process, he/she may face disqualification, debarment from future recruitments by National Insurance Company Ltd., and termination of service if already employed, in addition to possible criminal prosecution.
