UPSSSC PET Previous Year Question Paper Shift-Wise

A UPSSSC PET shift-wise question paper gives you a much larger set of questions to practise. Since 2022, PET has been held over two days with two shifts a day, so each year offers four different papers. Solving papers from all shifts shows you how difficulty and question selection vary, and stops you from relying on a single UPSSSC PET question paper for practice. In total, 14 shift-wise papers are available from 2021 to 2025.

UPSSSC PET Previous Year Question Paper in Hindi

The UPSSSC PET question paper is bilingual, so every UPSSSC PET previous year paper in Hindi has the same questions as the English version. Practising Hindi papers helps you get used to the exact terms and wording used in the exam. Hindi papers are especially useful for the General Hindi and Hindi unseen passage sections, which together carry 15 marks.

UPSSSC PET Previous Year Questions Subject-Wise

UPSSSC PET subject-wise previous year questions let you practise one section at a time. This works best right after you finish a subject, as you can immediately check your understanding with real exam questions. Below are the main subjects, their marks in the exam and the topics most often asked.

UPSSSC PET History Previous Year Questions

History (5 marks) questions mostly come from the Indus Valley Civilisation, Vedic culture, Buddhism and Jainism, the Maurya and Gupta dynasties, the Mughal Empire and British rule. Indian National Movement is a separate 5-mark section that covers the Swadeshi, Civil Disobedience and Quit India movements, along with the Azad Hind Fauj.

UPSSSC PET Geography Previous Year Questions

Geography (5 marks) questions cover the physical geography of India and the world, rivers, mountains and glaciers, deserts, mineral resources, climate, time zones and population.

UPSSSC PET Indian Economy Previous Year Questions

Indian Economy (5 marks) questions focus on the planning era from 1947 to 1991, Five-Year Plans, the Green Revolution, Operation Flood, bank nationalisation, the 1991 reforms and post-2014 reforms such as GST.

UPSSSC PET Indian Constitution and Public Administration Questions

This section (5 marks) tests the features of the Constitution, Fundamental Rights and Duties, Directive Principles, the parliamentary and federal systems, the judiciary, district administration and Panchayati Raj.

UPSSSC PET General Science Previous Year Questions

General Science (5 marks) questions are at a basic, school level and come from Physics, Chemistry and Biology. NCERT books from Classes 6 to 10 cover most of what is asked.

UPSSSC PET Current Affairs Previous Year Questions

Current Affairs (10 marks) covers national and international events, usually from the months before the exam. Previous year questions show the types of events asked, but for PET 2026 you need to follow the latest news. General Awareness (another 10 marks) covers static topics such as important days, organisations, books and authors, awards and sports.

UPSSSC PET General Hindi Previous Year Questions

General Hindi (5 marks) questions are mainly asked on sandhi, synonyms, antonyms, one-word substitution, gender, idioms and proverbs, common errors, and famous authors and their works. The separate Hindi unseen passage section carries another 10 marks.

UPSSSC PET Reasoning Previous Year Questions

Logic and Reasoning (5 marks) questions come from order and ranking, relationships, odd one out, calendar and clock, coding-decoding, cause and effect, and statement analysis.

UPSSSC PET Mathematics Previous Year Questions

In PET, Mathematics appears as Elementary Arithmetic (5 marks), with questions on whole numbers, fractions, decimals, percentage, simple equations, squares and square roots, powers and average. Graph interpretation and table interpretation (10 marks each) also need basic calculation skills, so practise them alongside arithmetic.

  • Select the exam date and shift from the table.
  • Click on the download link to open the question paper PDF.
  • Check that the complete paper has loaded, then save it to your device.
  • Keep all papers in one folder so you can find them easily during revision.

How to Solve UPSSSC PET Previous Year Question Papers?

Treat UPSSSC PET previous year papers as practice tests, not just a set of questions to read. Attempt each paper without looking at the answers, then spend time analysing your performance. This shows where you lose marks and which topics need more work. You can then use the UPSSSC PET solved question paper to check your approach.

  • Sit in a quiet place, set a 2-hour timer and solve the paper without notes, books or solutions. This gives a realistic idea of your preparation level.
  • After the paper, check your answers against the answer key and calculate your score, deducting 1/4 mark for each wrong answer. Note how many questions you attempted, got wrong and left unanswered.
  • Don't just look at the correct option and move on. Find out why you made each mistake: whether you misread the question, forgot a fact, used the wrong method or made a calculation error.
  • Go back to the topics where you made mistakes, revise the concept and solve a few similar questions before moving to the next paper.
  • Track your score, accuracy and repeated mistakes after every paper to see whether you are improving and which areas still need work.

Benefits of Solving UPSSSC PET Previous Year Papers

Previous year papers let you practise with real UPSSSC PET questions, so you understand exactly what is asked from each subject. Regular practice also helps you move beyond theory and get comfortable solving 100 questions in 2 hours.

  • PYQs show how syllabus topics are turned into questions and which areas are tested again and again.
  • A full-length paper gives a more realistic assessment than studying chapters one by one. Your score shows whether you are ready for more intensive practice.
  • Solving questions repeatedly makes you faster on familiar concepts and reduces mistakes from rushing or misreading.
  • With negative marking in PET, PYQs help you judge which questions to attempt and which to skip.
  • Questions you got wrong or couldn't solve become a ready list of topics to revise, so you don't spend equal time on strong and weak areas.

UPSSSC PET Previous Year Question Paper: Preparation Tips

Don't wait until the last few weeks to start solving UPSSSC PET previous year papers. Use them at different stages of preparation: first to understand important topics, and later for timed practice and final performance analysis.

  • If you have just started preparing, solve subject-wise PYQs after finishing each topic. This shows you how questions are framed before you move to full papers.
  • Start with the 2025 papers and then move to 2023, 2022 and 2021. Recent papers give you a better idea of the current question style.
  • Give extra practice to the Hindi passage, graph and table sections. Together they carry 30 marks and are among the most scoring sections with regular practice.
  • Note down important facts, formulas, concepts and repeated mistakes from each paper, and revise these notes regularly instead of rereading full papers.
  • Once you have covered most of the syllabus, solve complete papers in 2 hours and aim to improve both your score and accuracy each time. After finishing the PYQs, take the UPSSSC PET mock test series to practise with fresh questions in the same pattern.
