  • The College of Cardinals elected American Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost as the 267th pope, who took the name Leo XIV.

  • The Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI), under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, has signed an MoU with Rhenus Logistics India—a global logistics leader with a turnover of EUR 8.2 billion—to deploy barge services on NW-1, NW-2, NW-16 and the Indo-Bangladesh Protocol routes.
  • During the UN Day of Vesak 2025 celebrations in Vietnam, India and Vietnam’s leading Buddhist organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to deepen collaboration based on the teachings of the Buddha, emphasizing compassion, wisdom, and peace.
  • India and Chile have officially launched negotiations for a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) by signing the Terms of Reference (ToR).
  • Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT)and Hafele India Pvt. Ltd. signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in New Delhi.
