JAIIB Full Form
- JAIIB Full Form is Junior Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers.

JAIIB 2026 Eligibility Criteria

- You cannot register for JAIIB. If you are not an IIBF member, make sure be an IIBF member and working in banking or financial institutions. Then apply for the JAIIB exam.
- The educational qualification are candidates should have passed the 12th standard (Higher Secondary) or an equivalent examination to be eligible for JAIIB.
- If a bank employee has not passed the 12th standard but is working in the clerical or supervisory cadre, the employee may be recommended by the bank's Manager or Officer-in-Charge; IIBF may allow the employee to appear for the JAIIB exam.
- Subordinate staff of recognized Banking/ Financial Institutions in India, who are members of the Institute, are eligible to appear at the examination, provided they have passed the 12th standard examination or its equivalent.

- Then, select the “Flagship Course” option.
- Click the “JAIIB exam 2026 apply online” link.

NOTE:
- Institute will charge the regular examination fee to candidates who register for the examination during the first week of JAIIB registration 2026.
- For the second and third week of JAIIB registration 2026, the fees will be the regular examination fee plus Rs. 100/-
- For the fourth week of JAIIB 2026 registration, the fees will be the regular examination fee plus Rs. 200/-.
- In case the registration date is extended beyond 4 weeks, the examination fees will be the regular examination fee plus Rs. 200/- for the extended days.
- The JAIIB 2026 registration fees once paid will NOT be refunded or adjusted on any account.
Details of Exam Pattern
Here is the pattern of the JAIIB examination 2026:
- Each paper consists of 100 objective-type Multiple-choice questions for 100 marks. However, IIBF may vary the number of questions to be asked for a subject.
- The JAIIB exam duration is 2 hours.
- There is no negative marking for wrong answers
- Each paper is conducted on a separate exam date.
- The JAIIB examination will be held in Online Mode only.
- Candidates can choose to take the exam in English or Hindi while filling out the application form. The selected language cannot be changed after registration.

JAIIB Cut Off 2026 - "Class of Pass" Criteria
Here are the details of JAIIB cut off 2026, that is, the "class of pass" criteria.
- Minimum marks for pass in the subject are 50 out of 100.
- Candidates securing at least 45 marks in each subject with an aggregate of 50% marks in all subjects of the examination in a single attempt will also be declared as having completed the Examination.
- Candidates will be allowed to retain credits for the subject they have passed in an attempt till the expiry of the time limit for passing the examination.
- First Class - 60% or more marks in aggregate and pass in all the subjects in the FIRST PHYSICAL ATTEMPT.
- First Class with Distinction - 70% or more marks in aggregate and 60% or more marks in each subject in the FIRST PHYSICAL ATTEMPT.
Note: The Institute will consider the FIRST PHYSICAL ATTEMPT of the candidate at the examination as the first attempt for awarding class. It means, the candidate should not have attempted any of the subject/s on the examination concerned any time in the past and has to pass all the subjects as per the passing criteria and secure the prescribed marks for awarding class. Candidates re-enrolling for the examination after exhausting all permissible attempts as per the time limit rule will not be considered for awarding class.
Time Limit for Passing JAIIB Examination
Here is the clear info regarding the Time limit for passing the JAIIB examination:
- Candidates are allowed up to 5 attempts to clear the JAIIB examination within a maximum period of 3 years from the date of their first registration, whichever comes first. These attempts do not have to be consecutive.
- If you did not pass the JAIIB examination within the period of 3 years or 5 attempts, whichever is earlier, you will be required to re-enrol afresh. In this case, you will not be granted credit/s for subject/s passed, if any, earlier.
- The time limit of 3 years or 5 attempts, whichever is earlier, will start from the date of JAIIB registration for the first attempt.
- Attempts will be counted when he/she applies for the exam, irrespective of whether the candidate appears for any examination or not.
- The rules mentioned above imply that, normally, a candidate will be eligible to apply for any five examinations out of the six examinations being conducted within the stipulated period of three years.
- If a candidate avails all five attempts before completion of three years, he/she will be required to re-enrol themselves afresh.
- Similarly, if a candidate does not avail five attempts but the stipulated period of three years is over, he/she will be required to re-enrol themselves afresh.
