Nationality / Citizenship
Check the nationality/citizenship criteria for IBPS PO eligibility. A candidate must be of one of the following nationalities to apply for the Probationary Officer post:
(i) a Citizen of India or
(ii) a subject of Nepal or
(iii) a subject of Bhutan or
(iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

IBPS PO Educational Qualification
Here are the IBPS PO Educational Qualification details:
- A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
- The candidate must possess a valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate that he/ she is a graduate on the day he / she registers and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.

Credit History
Credit History is an important factor in the IBPS PO eligibility criteria.
- The candidate applying shall ensure that, they maintain a healthy Credit history at the time of joining participating banks. The minimum credit score will be as per the policy of participating Banks, amended from time to time.
- Those candidates whose CIBIL status has not been updated before the date of joining, have to either get the CIBIL status updated or produce the NOCs from lender to the effect that there is no outstanding with respect to the accounts adversely reflected in the CIBIL, failing which the letter of offer may be withdrawn / cancelled. The final discretion in this regard remains with the allotted Bank.
NOTE - Candidates with no bank account shall not be required to produce the CIBIL status. CIBIL Score requirement is not a pre-condition to apply.
